1. Manufacturer’s Warranty

All HVAC equipment and components sold by EPA DISTRIBUTORS are covered solely by the warranties provided by their respective manufacturers (such as Goodman®, Daikin®, etc.). EPA DISTRIBUTORS does not provide any additional labor or service warranties.

2. Professional Installation Requirement (Crucial)

Please be advised that most manufacturers require that the equipment be installed by a licensed and certified HVAC professional (NATE certification or equivalent) to validate the warranty.

  • If a unit is installed by an unlicensed individual, the manufacturer may void the warranty immediately.

  • Proof of professional installation (invoice or receipt from a licensed contractor) is typically required to process any warranty claim.

3. Warranty Registration

To ensure full coverage, customers must register their products on the manufacturer’s official website within a specific timeframe (usually 60 days from the date of installation). Failure to register may result in a shorter warranty period (e.g., 5 years instead of 10).

4. Parts vs. Labor

  • Parts: Most manufacturer warranties cover replacement parts only.

  • Labor: Manufacturer warranties do not cover the cost of labor to diagnose, remove, or reinstall a defective part. Any labor costs incurred during a warranty claim are the sole responsibility of the customer.

  • Shipping: Shipping costs for replacement warranty parts are generally not covered by the manufacturer or EPA DISTRIBUTORS.

5. How to Process a Claim

If you believe a part is defective:

  1. Contact the licensed contractor who installed your unit for a professional diagnosis.

  2. If the technician confirms a part failure, they must provide a service report.

  3. Contact the manufacturer directly or our support team at [TU EMAIL AQUÍ] with the model number, serial number, and proof of professional installation to initiate the claim.

6. Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover damage caused by:

  • Improper installation or maintenance.

  • Electrical surges or lightning.

  • Natural disasters or “Acts of God.”

  • Normal wear and tear or neglect (e.g., failure to change filters).
